About Mission LiFE:
- A new initiative for sustainable and healthy lifestyle
- Inaugurated at the Statue of Unity in Gujarat.
- 1st proposed by PM Narendra Modi at COP 26 (UN Climate Change Conference, Glasgow – 2021)
- Envisioned as an India-led global mass movement that will nudge individual and collective action to protect and preserve the environment.
- Climate change goes beyond only government responsibility and needs contributions from individual, families and communities – Mission LiFE strives to achieve that.
Objectives:
- Makes the fight against climate change democratic, in which everyone can contribute with their respective capacities.
- To focus on the concept of ‘Reduce, Reuse and Recycle’ and circular economy.
- Emboldens the spirit of the P3 model – Pro Planet People.
- Basic principles of ‘Lifestyle of the planet, for the planet and by the planet’.
